Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, typically wearing protective gloves and other equipment, engage in a contest of strength, speed, and agility by throwing punches at each other. The sport is typically conducted in a square ring, with athletes aiming to score points by landing clean, effective punches on their opponent while avoiding being hit. Boxing matches are usually governed by a set of rules that dictate the duration of rounds, scoring systems, and permissible techniques. Boxing can be both an individual competitive sport and a form of recreation and fitness. It has a rich history and is practiced at various levels, from amateur competitions to professional bouts, and has a significant cultural and social presence worldwide. The goal in boxing is to either win by outscoring the opponent on points or by achieving a knockout.
